Slave Resistance in the Civil War

Slave Resistance
The slaver was very hard, the slaves were wipped if they did not work correctly. They were separated from their families. Many slaves chose to not accept this way. Even though they legally said it was a free state people didn't act like it. Safe-house helped people with the underground railroad. The underground railroad was a railroad that led to many different safe-houses for the slaves. They used to knock at different houses everyday for food, clothes, and sleep. The railroad led to Canada a free state, and if the slaves escaped to Canada they would have thier liberty.
The Compromise of 1850
The Compromise was very important. In the 1850's many white Northerners believed that slavery violated the basic principles of the U.S. and the Christian Religion. It didn't mean that they believed that blacks and whites were equal, it just meant that they saw slavery as evil and something that cannot be tolerated.
Uncle Tom's Cabin
Harriet Beecher Stowe said that the average northerners didn't think a lot about slavery. Harriet had experience of slavery, becasue she was a slave. She got sold across the nation. Many farms and territories lost land in war, and many houses were burnt. The Southerners hated the book Propaganda. Many people said the story in the book was a lie and many writers even tried to write books against the Propaganda. They sold 10 000 copies of that book in one week, and in the civil war they sold over 1 million copies. It was one of the most influential novel of that time.
Kansas-Nebraska Act
The land was north of the 36 lattitude, which meant it had to be free. The land wanted to change the railroad-biggest technology. Kansas Nebraska Act-the railroad line was Indian, and Indians didn’t welcome white settlers. The government didn't care and told the Indians to move somewhere else.

Ken Burns the civil war
Showed that Americans were killing Americans. Devastation was nothing that the Americans have ever seen (until World War II). They knew they were making history. Made some rich and some poor. The war was a new birth of freedom. even if you were in the north or south-black people cleaned after the Americans battles. The last veteran died in 1859. The civil war changed america's pathway. They should have followed the constitution-they should have all been treated equal. They never knew when they expected death or war.

In what situations might compromise not work?

For teenagers and Laws

There are many ways in which compromise doesn’t work. For teenagers it is different because it is mostly a compromise on liberty. For example if you would like to go out with your friends and your parents do not allow you to, then you can not because it is no compromise. If you are at school and a teacher tells you to complete an assignment than you are forced to do it for your own good or else you will have consequences. If you are with your friends and you have to choose between working or having fun then you should do what ever you want to do it’s a compromise with yourself. Another example is if you are in trouble with the law then you have to obey the judge or police and do what they tell you to it is not a personal choice.

Another way where compromise will not work is in the Torah or in the Coran when they tell you to not do certain things like eat Pork and drink alcohol or to eat shrimps or other certain fishes then you are obliged to not do those things to be a pure Muslim or Jewish or any other religion. Another example is a health issue for example smoking or drinking alcohol and driving these are other things you should not do one for your own health and for your protection to avoid danger and problems.

For International Political, Social, or Economical Situations

International Political

In the United States if you are elected as a president for example then you cannot choose to change your post after a week or a month you should stay president until the day the people have to vote for another one. Once you are chosen you cannot bo back in the past you have to stay as a president and learn from your mistakes if you have made the wrong choice.

Internation Social

In morocco one example of social no compromise is that you are not really aloud to kiss a girl in public even though it's your wife, but people do it so it's a rule that is not respected. Another case is during the ramadan the people are not aloud to eat or drink in front of others who fast. They aren't aloud to drink alcohol either or do anything that is haram (strictly refused or not aloud) during the ramadan or else there will be very severe consequences either with the law or with God.

My Migration to the North

Today was the day I completed my university studies. I am very excited to start my new job that I studied a lot for. In one month I will migrate to London to begin my career in surgery. I will get there early enough to unpack and start thinking about an apartment or a house if I could find one to live in.
The category that medical studies should fit in is social, because you are in contact with many people, you operate patients and talk to their relatives. I think it's also an art in some way because it's the art of the organs and body structur. Artists study these bodies to pain, draw, or sculpt them and it's realted to what surgeons do they examine the body and study it.
The geography in ESPRAT+G will refer to my migration to another country and that's the only rellation it has with my work and myself. The job also comes with a minimum of modern technology because doctors most oftenly use computers, and many machines for the patients.
Finallay another important ESPRAT topic that should be there or available is the politics because the country in my opinion should continue being a free country and should accept any letters or comments about certain things by other people. In brien I hink that London best fits all of these criterias and that I will have a happy life over there.
