Typical Teenager Problem

A teenager’s parents disagree with their son about his college destination.
1. The problem is that the teenager’s dream is to go to Stanford even though his grades will take him to Harvard, the best university in the world. And his parent’s dreams for their child is to attend to Harvard.
2. - Attend stanford for one trimester then transfer to harvard for another trimester.
- Make a presentation proving that stanford is more critical for your interests.
- If your dad is into sports or music or theatre or anything, you can show him an example of actor, sport professional or music player who can behis idol, and tell him that he went to stanford.
3. - If the student attends stanford for three months and transfers to harvard, the disadvantange will be that if he wants to goback to stanford he might not be admitted because the school can not have enough space or might think that the student is fooling around and they can become mad and tell him to go search for anothercollege. The positive side of this solution is that the student can have his share, he can attend his university choice and attend where his parents wanted him to go. The other advantage is that while he changes schools, the way of teaching is diferrent and he might learn better in one school than in the other.
- The advantages for making a presentation is your passion about attending that special university. If the budget is better and less costy than the other college then it is better. If the clarity of your plan is good then it might help them analyse better the situation. If your intentions are good and your are responsible and independent and mature enough then they will trust you. The diadvantage might be that you botch your presentation and then they will see that you want to randomly attend a place without knowing anything about it.
- The advantages of showing your dad a very famous person that he likes that attended that school lets him reflect on the situation and then he sais that the university is good and very talented people attend it so he might accept.
4. A plan B would be if stanford doesn’t work out, then harvard would be my plan B.
