The Constitution and Bill of Rights

Order :

1st amendment

13th amendment

4th amendment

5th amendment

Article I

Why ?

I chose the first amendment first because i think that the freedom of choosing your religion, and freedom of speech and all the rest are the most important freedoms in the world. Someone’s own freedom cannot be chosen by someone else it has to be a personal choice and a personal allowance. The freedom of religion and speech comes before everything else. The freedom of speech is fundamental for a democracy.

After that I chose the 13th amendment because if slavery is allowed lots of people would want to own slaves and they will search in poor places. The population will decrease and many people will be tortured to death. The people are trying to make the world a peaceful place, and if the owning of slaves is allowed the world will continuously be in conflict. The people have to be treated equally with respect for everyone. All the people are the same the color doesn’t make any difference. There shouldn’t be any racism this law is very important for everyone not only the US.

Next I chose the 4th amendment due to the right of not authorizing the police enter homes and start searching for things without a mandate from the judge. The people have the right to be secure in their homes work places, papers, and effects. The police can’t just come in and start looking around just because they are policeman and that they have the right to do so. They need to follow the laws like everyone else and they need to have a mandate for this special kind of operation. No one should be above the law.

I chose the 5th amendment after those three, because it’s the right to defend oneself. The people who are charged for a crime have the right to have a lawyer because everyone is innocent unless their culpability is proved. If they start answering questions without the presence of a lawyer every statement that they say can be charged and used against them during the trial. This law has been created to be used so the people are allowed to ask for a lawyer under any circumstances. It also says that no one can be tried for the same crime twice. It proves that everyone should be treated equally.

Finally I chose the first article of the Constitution, because it proves that no one has the supreme power. People are represented by the senate the House of Representatives and a system of checks and balances. It means that no law can be voted if there is no majority. Within this system every citizen is represented and every voice counts.
