Four major quakes strike South Pacific

In less than 11 hours, a fourth earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean near the island nation of Vanuatu on Thursday. They were part of 16 series of earthquakes that hit the same place, same period. The first of the three earthquakes hit the region in 70 minutes. The Hawaii center gave a false alert about a tsunami that did not occur. In that region they feel the earthquake shakes every weeks. Ten days earlier, a wave stroke the Vanautu islands and killed 178 people. There were no damages alerted after two hours. The tsunami made a quake that stroke the island with a magnitude of 7.8 (294 kilometres).
